6th, 2005: the Lazy Grind starts. A group of
artists from Keenspace (as it was named then) decided to get together
and start a more-friendly and less-intensive version of the Daily
Grind. Contestants were to post a minimum of 3x a week, no less,
on whatever schedule they wished. Mr. Bob
created the site to
keep track of the contestants, and the contest had begun! August 8th, 2006: CJ posts her latest comic a few minutes past her deadline, and the contest is over! Komiyan is declared the winner. Mr. Bob does not notice, as he has disappeared from the internet again. September 11th, 2006: the second Lazy Grind begins! This time, things have changed a bit… we have more contestants, including some from outside ComicGenesis. Keenspot, Xepher, Pens and Tales, and Webcomic Nation artists have joined in the effort as well, all with one singular purpose in mind: Make comics, and have fun. |

The lazy Artists must publish at least 3 comic updates a week from
Monday, September 11th, 2006. Anything above and beyond these
requirements will be ignored for the purposes of this contest. • Comics must be in either color, or black and white to best of artistic ability. • Cover pages are allowed but no posting of random sketches or pin-ups in place of comics. Fillers, guest comics, and the like will result in disqualification. • Strips must be posted by Midnight in your specified update day in your time zone. • If a lazy artist cannot post strips for a period of time (ie vacation, etc...), they must post strips for days to be missed in advance or find someone to update their sites for them. Posting comics in the Lazy Grind message board is an acceptable place to post comics, and in the event of a site crash/slowdown/etc, it is HIGHLY recommended that the artists post their comics in the thread as well as update their site. • The contest is over when only one lazy artist remains. Please note that Mr. Bob can win at any given time, regardless of other outside influences... we haven't quite figured out how yet, but he always does.
